Home External Nutrition Program (HENS)

Bluebell Pharmacy Ainslie is proud to be a participating Pharmacy for the Home External Nutrition (HEN) Program.  We work in conjunction with the Nutrition Department at The Canberra Hospital, Woden ACT.

Clients are referred to the Pharmacy by the Nutrition Department.  The Pharmacy then arranges for the ordering and delivery of all the clients requirements as per the registration form.  Clients living at home, can choose to collect their supplies directly from the Pharmacy.

A weekly contribution payment amount for the HEN program, is paid to the Bluebell Pharmacy either by cash/cheque or credit card.  This amount is determined by ACT Health HEN Program Advisory Group at The Canberra Hospital which increases generally in line with CPI increases.

Bluebell Pharmacy Ainslie is informed of any changes regarding Formula, frequency of connector supply, client contribution payment and/or equipment changes by the Nutrition Department at The Canberra Hospital as are the clients themselves.
